AI credits

AI features consume credits. Most everyday operations cost 1 credit, while a few heavyweight features cost more:

Document-level operation (summarize, continue, etc.)1
Autocomplete (per accepted suggestion; dismissing is free)1
AI chat — base cost per message1

Generate an entity name or trait description1
AI-summarize a corkboard card1
Overview AI suggestions (suggest title, summary, outline)1
Follow-up command on a previous AI result1
Free-form custom AI command1

Story Engine — chapter illustration10
AI image generation10
Knowledge base auto-population15
Deep Research50
Project-level feedback (full-book review)50

A simple chat question with no tool use costs 1 credit. A complex chat question where the AI searches the project, reads sheets, and creates an entity can cost 4 or more credits in a single turn.

Credits are consumed when content is generated, not when you accept it — regenerating costs another credit. The one exception is autocomplete, which only charges when you accept a suggestion.

If you run out, you can purchase additional credits at any time.
