Inline assistant

Apart from the main assistant section, the AI assistant is deeply integrated into various parts of the Shy Editor interface.

Writing area​

Select any text, or click on the options icon near any paragraph, to open the inline AI Assistant menu.

In this menu, you can select from a number of predefined optimized AI options, or you can enter a custom command to edit the selected text, answer questions about it, or complete tasks.

The AI response will appear in a separate assistant window. You can move this window around the screen by dragging the header.

From the assistant window, you can generate a new response if you are unhappy with the current one, save the response as a note, copy it into the clipboard, or insert it into your text. You can also change the writing style for the AI, ask follow-up questions or give follow-up commands.

Other UI options​

Shy Editor offers many AI-powered features throughout its' interface. Whenever you see this icon Icon, it means that AI assistance is available. You can hover your cursor over this icon to read what the AI will do.
