Assistant overview

The ShyEditor AI Assistant is an artificially intelligent assistant that is deeply integrated into ShyEditor. It is designed to help you write faster, generate ideas, proofread your work, quickly find information contained within your ShyEditor projects, and much more.

The Assistant is optimized specifically for writing tasks, is aware of your actions in real time, and maintains a deep understanding of your writing projects. In practice, this means you will get better, more relevant responses than using generic AI tools.

Each basic request to the AI assistant costs 1 AI credit. Some advanced features, such as Deep Research or full project feedback, cost more, as shown in the UI. When using the assistant chat, each action the assistant takes to answer your question (searching the project, reading a sheet, creating a knowledge base entity, etc.) costs 1 additional credit.

New users start with 100 AI credits in their first month. From the second month on, all users receive 20 free credits per month, and ShyEditor Pro subscribers receive 500 credits per month. You can also purchase additional credits if you need to. See plans and usage for a complete breakdown of credit costs.

If you do not want to use the assistant in a project, you can turn it off in the project settings.
