Notes

Notes are intended to capture spontaneous ideas and insights, reminders, lists, and essentially anything not related to the text itself. It functions as a flexible textual repository, ensuring that creative concepts are cataloged and readily accessible during the writing process.

Each note has a title and plain-text content. Notes are saved automatically as you type.

Working with notes​

  • Create a note — new notes are attached to the sheet you're currently working on
  • Edit the title and content at any time; changes auto-save
  • Delete notes you no longer need. Deletion is permanent, so you'll be asked to confirm
  • Filter the list to show either all notes in the project, or only the notes from the current sheet

Notes and the AI assistant​

Notes integrate with the rest of ShyEditor: you can reference any note in the assistant chat with an @mention, and many AI features (such as brainstorming, deep research, and the inline assistant) let you save their output directly as a note.
